Who can use Party Pot

To create a pot, you must:

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Party Pot account, set up a pot, or contribute to a pot. By using Party Pot you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. If we discover that a user is under 18, we may suspend or close the account and refund any contributions where legally required.

Use on behalf of a child.

Adults may set up a pot for a child. Only adults may manage the pot and handle any funds. Children must not create an account or use Party Pot directly.

Contributors don’t need an account, just a link.

Fees

We charge a 5% platform fee on the total contributions to a pot.
This covers:

The fee is automatically deducted before funds are paid out.

Minimum contribution

There is an £8 minimum contribution per person. This is because Stripe charges a flat processing fee and small contributions become disproportionately expensive to process.

Payments and payouts

Payments are handled securely by Stripe. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.

Funds are held until you manually close your pot.

Once closed, payouts are made to your nominated bank account within 1 to 2 working days.

You are responsible for using the funds as intended (e.g. buying a gift, making a donation).

Unclaimed or Inactive Pots

If a pot remains inactive or unclaimed for more than 14 days after its stated closing date, Party Pot® will notify the pot creator by email.

Unclaimed pots will be held securely for up to 180 days (6 months) after the closing date. During this period, Party Pot® may apply a small administrative or maintenance fee to cover payment processing and account costs.

If the funds remain unclaimed after 180 days, Party Pot® reserves the right to refund contributors (where possible) or treat the balance as unclaimed funds in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Party Pot® is not liable for any losses resulting from a failure to withdraw funds within the stated timeframe.

Cancellations and refunds

We do not offer refunds once a pot is closed and the payout has been made.

If a contributor makes an error, they can contact us and we’ll try to help – but Stripe’s refund policies also apply.

Misuse and fair use

Please don’t use Party Pot to:
